The Families Covenant Community "MAMRE" (Catholic) is, according to the Church Law, a private association of the lay worshippers. It was authorized by the Archbishop Stanisław Nowak, the Metropolitan of Częstochowa on 14 February 2000 and it received the legal status in the Catholic Church.

As the church organization it has also possessed the civil legal entity since 16 June 2000 (Legislation Register dated 2 June 2000 nr 45 point 525).

The Community works according to the Statute which includes 12 Signposts defining its spirituality, principles of life and the obligations of the Community’s members. The Community has two main purposes: evangelization and family promotion. It functions both among families and single people at different age and having various professions. It helps the members to grow in holiness and it aims to renew and sanctify the family life, the work in the parishes and the activities of other church communities. As the organization, it benefits of the experiences of The Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement.

The main schedule of the Community is based on the meetings, only for the members and the candidates, together with the formation which takes place once a month. Moreover, there are open meetings which have rather liturgical and worshipping character with the evangelical and charismatic service. These open meetings are also organized once a month. In addition to that, the Community has the meetings in its small groups (so called “tents)” which are led by the animators. The members of the small groups meet twice a month.

In winter the Community has its own one-week recollections which are always organized in some picturesque spots, and, in summer the evangelical recollections are arranged for people out of the Community. Moreover, there are evangelical recollections organized in parishes, schools, convents, monasteries and other church communities during the whole year. The Community organizes also Biblical schools, courses and workshops for the engaged couples and parents, charismatic service workshops, etc.

The members of the Community, who want to grow in the holiness, take on some obligations, for example:
- everyday prayers (at least one part of the Rosary and the private conversation with God),
- everyday reading of the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (or other church documents),
- adoration of the Holy Sacrament (at least once a week),
- taking part at the meetings of the Community and the recollections,
- forming their lives according to the Gospels and the Signposts of the Community.

In addition to that, all the members try to live in the abstinence of the addictions, (the Community possesses the Mamre Book of the Abstinent Crusade).

The Covenant of the Families Community is subjected to the Bishop of the Place, it has its own Moderator, the priest who is in charge of the Community. It also has its own Community Council and the people who are responsible for the particular tents (the small groups) and deacons (the services).

There are such deacons in the Community as the following: unity, evangelization, musical, liturgical, medical ( doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists), pro-family, educational, verbal, praying, artistic, archival, charity, economical, and the group of the charismatic service. The Community deals with the people searching for God and holiness, but also the ones who feel lost, in need, ill and bondaged. It serves with the pleading prayers for somebody’s relief, cure and pouring out of the Holy Spirit.

The formation of the Community is based mainly on the Bible, on the teaching of the Catholic Church and on the Saints – the masters of the spirituality. Moreover, it is the complete Christian formation which includes theological education, liturgical, ascetic, mystic, ecclesiastical, moral and evangelical.

During its twenty-year-old history, the Community established different kinds of customs and symbols; for example, it celebrates Christmas Eve’s meetings every year. The new members and candidates enter the Community according to the Ritual only once a year – exactly on The Holy Family’s Day.

The Covenant of the Families Community MAMRE helps the priests and the religion teachers with their pastoral efforts through meetings, recollections, lectures and conferences. Moreover, the parishioners are sent to obtain the knowledge given by the Community in order to share it with the others in their own parishes.

The Community has also started its publishing activity on the purpose of evangelization and formation of the people involved in it.
